The Fast Charger to USB-C cable can charge the Apple Watch Series 7 up to 33 percent quicker than the standard Apple Watch charger, Apple says. It can reach 80% percent charge in 45 minutes. Apple has redesigned the charging architecture inside the Apple Watch Series 7, so the faster technology will be limited to the new model, although the cable will be backwards compatible with the Apple Watch Series 6 and older.

You can purchase the updated Apple Watch charger from Apple's website today. The Apple Watch Series 7 will be available later this fall, but will likely ship with the faster charging cable.
