iPhone 15 Pro glass panel samples hint at ultra — thin, symmetrical bezels
- Videos featuring glass samples for the iPhone 15 lineup have surfaced online.
- 15 Pro samples look quite similar to the Apple Watch Series 7 and 8 bezels.
- The Dynamic Island is expected to be part of all iPhone 15 models.
Multiple videos, originally posted in Chinese websites Bilibili and Douyin, and later shared on Twitter by ShrimpApplePro and Unknownz21, show these panels, revealing thinner bezels relative to the current iPhone generation. However, these thinner bezels are expected to only be featured on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models, and not on the regular iPhone 15 and 15 Plus variants. We are also expected to see the return of the “2.5D” shaped glass covering the OLED panel, resembling what we first saw on the iPhone X back in 2017.

The Dynamic Island, which so far has been limited to the Pro models, is expected to expand across the entire iPhone 15 series. Refresh rates are also expected to stay the same, with a 1-120Hz range ProMotion (Apple’s own implementation of Variable Refresh Rate or VRR) panel on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, and 60Hz on the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models.iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to be quite the upgrade, with the arrival of USB-C, solid-state side and volume buttons, thinner bezels, a new curved chassis and glass cover, and even the use of titanium for the frame. As usual, these new devices are expected to be announced in September.
