iPhone 15 Pro models to get unified solid — state volume buttons
- The iPhone 15 Pro models are rumored to get solid-state volume buttons.
- ZoneOfTech tweeted about new CAD renders including this detail.
- iPhone 15 Pro models will also reportedly get two more Taptic engines.
YouTuber ZoneOfTech recently tweeted that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models might get a single volume slot with two pins, as per the latest CAD models. Where it used to be two slots with four pins may be seen in the non-Pro models. The mute switch could also be replaced by a single press button.
Almost 100% sure that the iPhone 15 Pro will LONG Unified Volume button, rather than 2 separate ones.

While making our iPhone 15 Pro Concept, we’ve found that Apple uses 2 pins on each of the 2 volume buttons. The iPhone 15 Pro CAD only shows 2 pins on a longer volume button. pic.twitter.com/KzkpS9fYBB
Apple may opt for solid-state buttons using haptic feedback for power as volume buttons in the iPhone 15 Pro models. Solid-state buttons can make the iPhone more water and dust resistant, but a question arises about phone cases because solid-state volume and power buttons require touch detection to operate.
