Gurman: Apple to release its ‘widest array’ of new products ever this fall
- Apple will likely release many new and anticipated products this year.
- A first Apple event will likely take place in the spring, followed by the bulk of announcements in the fall.
In a new report from Gurman, he states that Apple is reportedly holding many of its larger product reveals until this fall. These include the announcement of a new MacBook Air and new iPad Pro, as well as some completely new products.
To that end, I’m told that Apple is readying the widest array of new hardware products in its history this fall. That makes sense: My back-of-the-envelope list includes four new iPhones, a low-end MacBook Pro, an updated iMac, the new Mac Pro, a revamped MacBook Air, an AirPods Pro upgrade, three Apple Watches, a low-end iPad and iPad Pros.
In this new report, Gurman also talks more about previous rumors of a spring Apple event, saying that the event will likely take place in March or April and will include the announcement of an updated iPhone SE. It is likely that the new iPad Pro will not be launched at this event despite previous rumors.
The spring event will likely focus on the iPhone SE 3, a new iPad Air, and possibly a new or updated Mac of some variety. Gurman says he thinks that “Apple wants to bring the M1 Pro chip to another Mac in the first half of this year. That could mean a higher-end Mac mini or iMac.”
