iPhone SE 3 to add 5G and A15 chip, will keep current design
- iPhone SE 3 to feature an unchanged design with 5G and an A15 chip.
- It could be released to the public next spring.
Macotakara expects the iPhone SE 3 to begin production in December of this year and start shipping to customers in the spring. This past June, reliable analyst Ming Chi-Kuo (reliability: 80.95%) had something similar to say and confirmed that the phone will indeed keep the same design but gain 5G and the A15 chip.At one point, there were rumors that the iPhone SE could gain a 5.5-inch display with a Touch ID side button. These rumors mostly started when thinking about a replacement for the iPhone mini in the iPhone 14 lineup. Apple is expected to get rid of the iPhone mini form factor for the iPhone 14 lineup, and a slightly larger iPhone SE would make sense to replace it.
A spring launch would make sense for the iPhone SE, as it has previously been launched in the spring, following Apple’s usual fall iPhone release schedule. The first iPhone SE launched in the spring of 2016, and the second generation arrived in the spring of 2020.For now, the iPhone 13 lineup is available to the public, and we can hopefully expect a new iPhone SE in the spring.
