  • Apple's expanded price points will now be available for all app purchases.
  • This allows developers to choose from over 900 pricing options.
  • Existing app pricing will be updated starting May 9, 2023.

Apple announced today that its new larger range of price points usable for App Store purchases, first introduced in December, will now be expanding to all app purchases. This includes paid apps and one-time in-app purchases.

Launched in December, these newly expanded price points were originally limited to auto-renewing subscriptions only, with the promise of more use cases coming early in 2023. With the change, Apple now offers developers to choose from over 900 price points, starting as low as $0.29, and going as high as $9,999.99 in the United States. This allows developers to set much more drastic pricing for purchases through the App Store. Apple is also introducing globally equalized prices which follow common pricing conventions throughout different regions to provide consistent pricing globally.

Choose from 900 price points — nearly 10 times the number of price points previously available for paid apps and one‑time in‑app purchases. These options also offer more flexibility, increasing incrementally across price ranges (for example, every $0.10 up to $10, every $0.50 between $10 and $50, etc.).

Apple plans to update pricing for all existing apps and in-app purchases globally starting on May 9, 2023. To learn more, developers can visit Apple’s developer portal.
