  • The focus of these bands is durability and adjustability for the user.

Apple announced a new Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop and Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop, accompanied with a new Pride watch face coming in a future software update.

Since the introduction of Apple Watch Pride Edition in 2016, Apple’s one of a kind Pride bands have been a visible illustration of the ways in which the company stands with, supports, and is proudly made up of members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Even before the events at the Stonewall Inn brought the LGBTQ+ movement to new prominence, Black, Brown, and transgender activists were key leaders in the march toward equality. On many fronts, Apple supports the ongoing and unfinished work of equality for diverse and intersectional communities, and we want to provide every opportunity to celebrate and honour this history during Pride season.”— said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.

The Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop weaves together the original rainbow colors with those from the Pride flags. Like the other Braided Solo Loop Apple Watch bands, the strap features stretchable recycled yarn interwoven with silicone threads. The band comes in 12 sizes and features no buckles or clasps. The Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop band shows the six colors of the original rainbow and features reflective yarn to aid visibility for users engaging in outdoor workouts at night. The focus of this band is durability and adjustability for the user.

The Sport Loop is priced at $49 and the Nike Braided Solo Loop at $99, and the packaging has an App Clip code to quickly add the watch face to customers’ Apple Watches. It is important to note that the Solo Loop is only compatible with the Series 4 or later, while the Sport Loop supports the Series 3 and later.
