Oculus Quest update brings Apple’s Magic Keyboard to VR
- Version 37 of the software on the Quest headsets brings improved keyboard support.
- The update is rolling out to all users now and will be available soon.
The feature is included with the v37 update. After pairing your keyboard with Bluetooth, you will see a 3D model of it in the environment. It will feature like a normal Bluetooth keyboard, so you can use it to type when browsing the web or using other applications in virtual reality.
Oculus says that you’ll need to enable support for Bluetooth keyboards in Settings > Experimental Features. Currently, the Logitech K830 is the only other keyboard to support it.
In addition to this, v37 brings improved window organisation, a hand-tracking gesture to launch the Quick Action Menu, a redesigned Explore page and more. Read the full release notes here.
