First hands — on photos and videos of AirTag emerge
- After years of persistent rumors, we’re finally getting our hands on the first real-world photos and videos of Apple’s AirTag.
- Several media outlets and personalities have reported that AirTag is easily scratched, with some noting that the AirTag had scratched within only a few hours of usage.
- At the same time, reviewers praised AirTag for its premium build quality, lightweight design, and pro-privacy features.
The AirTag itself is a small device that includes a built-in speaker, accelerometer, Bluetooth LE, and a replaceable battery. Apple says the tracker should last for a year of battery life, and you can use an NFC tap to activate Lost Mode.
From Apple:
AirTag is a supereasy way to keep track of your stuff. Attach one to your keys, slip another in your backpack. And just like that, they’re on your radar in the Find My app, where you can also track down your Apple devices and keep up with friends and family.
